internship
I am currently the graphic designer for the Grand Valley Art useum. During the summer of 2025, I designed their new logo and continue to work for them, providing various promotional materials and exhibition designing.
They tasked me with designing their new logo to use for promotional material, in hopes of attracting more students to the university’s art museum. I also designed two additional logos for their organizations, Friends of Art (our student art club), and Friends of Alten (our donor’s club, honoring artist, Mathias Alten).
Currently, the GVAM is the second largest collection of art in the state of Michigan with almost 30,000 pieces of art! It’s been highly inspiring and such a privilege to be the very first student graphic design intern for this special place, holding highly valuable work by world-renowned artists. I’ve grown immensely as a designer in this job and feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to learn in this environment.
recent internship work
One of my most recent projects was creating a postcard size “Passport to Printmaking” for our Friends of Art winter semester printmaking events. The students can take these (from our Allendale campus gallery) and mark off events they’ve been to. I have a lot of fun at this job because I’m allowed to get quite creative.
