After graduating from GVSU this year, I worked at Gilson Graphics as a design intern for the summer. This internship taught me everything about the design industry and also allowed me to work with several brands, doing a wide variety of design work.
Gilson 2027 Calendars
Every year, Gilson creates a set of calendars for their clients to choose from. I was able to create 4 concepts over a couple of months that are going to be sent out later this year.
Grades 6-12 Finance Poster Concepts
Gilson designs many teaching resources for K-12. My last project that I did was creating some concepts for 6-12 graders that teach subjects such as financial literacy.

Over the last few years, I’ve had many friends, family, and coworkers ask me for design work (mostly logos and posters).
I was tasked with creating a unique logo for a small business that sells handmade and knitted botanicals. She gave me free reign to design it however I wanted. Her only requests were to include blue, stars, and a river.

For the last few years, I have been occasionally doing design work for North Kent Connect (a resource center in Northern Kent County). I mostly help with graphics and posters. This specific logo is for their new service called Fresh Connect that delivers fresh food to people and families across the county.
